HBS Startup Studio used to be a part of Harvard Business School’s entrepreneurship courses in New York City.
It taught students about the importance of running “structured experiments” as a means of testing their ideas, validating hypotheses, and refining their strategies. The idea was to support alumni founders in New York City by offering them subsidized space and programming.
Founders had access to the studio via application and must fulfill certain requirements such as seed funding of $500,00 or more with fewer than seven employees.
They offered events such as:
- Rock Center for Entrepreneurship Summer Social in NYC (June 20th)
- HBSCNY/Rock Center Annual Rock Summer Fellows Social in NYC (July 17th)
- The 2019 Alumni New Venture Competition and New York-based events, including “Product Manager Coffees” with Professor Julia Austin
- Rock 100 Summit
- The digital Entrepreneurship Essentials course
It was placed at WeWork, 1460 Broadway in Midtown Manhattan in The United States of America before moving to 33 Irving Pl, New York, NY 10003, United States.
